For many years, Moraima Ortiz endured gender discrimination, physical and verbal abuses as well as wage theft. After participating in Laundry Workers Center leadership institute, Moraima Ortiz learned her rights which are protected under federal and state laws. She decided to launch her social justice campaign to educate other women about their rights. Furthermore, she has legal claim against her former employer, Kenny Bakery.
